What’s New on iOS
iOS/iPadOS 17 and later. The updated build is being prepared for App Store upload.
- Free plus one-time purchased ProNo time-limited iOS trial. Users without a station start Free and can purchase Pro later; station readings require a supported nearby station.
- All widgets require purchased ProEvery widget type and supported size, in-app weather previews and Live Activity use the Pro entitlement. Locked widgets show a Pro-only message without weather data.
- Clear missing-data displaysUnavailable rain, UV and solar show a dash. Real zeros remain valid. NWS hourly rainfall is not labeled as a daily total. Free Lightning shows its Pro lock; unavailable lightning is not an all-clear result.
- Required privacy and data-loss acknowledgementThe startup page covers data responsibility, independent backups and nearby-station requirements.
- Expanded help and provider setupThe in-app Quick Guide opens the 29-page PDF offline. Linked contents, index, provider screenshots, Free/Pro widget examples, backup and troubleshooting instructions are included.
iPhone and iPad: Free plus purchased Pro
iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. Free has no time limit and includes up to 3 saved stations, current readings, the Today graph and up to 7 days of local history. No station ownership is required: choose a supported nearby station for station readings.
A one-time Pro purchase enables up to 20 stations, all widgets and Live Activity, extended graphs, exports, custom limits, fallback, additional providers and optional Supabase. Provider accounts, Application Programming Interface (API) keys and any fees are separate. This iOS edition has no trial or activation-code unlock.

What’s New on Mac
Upcoming release: version 3 (4)
The new combined installer is in release preparation. These notes describe the prepared Mac release; its public app download will follow release approval.
- Additional providers are a Pro featureConnect your own additional provider accounts and Application Programming Interface (API) keys, including OpenWeather, and add custom radar or forecast sites with Pro. Free keeps the built-in nearby-station and local-weather feed. Provider plans remain separate.
- Two native Mac editions, one guided installerChoose Apple silicon or Intel. The installer checks the processor, supported macOS version, and destination before copying the app.
- Clear choices at installation and first launchBoth editions require an explicit Yes/No response to the data-loss notice. Intel also requires acceptance of the final-revision notice. No stops installation or quits the app.
- Weather freshness correctionsUpdated current-versus-cached weather handling and stale-data recovery. Saved weather can still appear when a provider is unavailable; cached data is not a live reading.
- Expanded manuals for each editionBoth 60-page manuals cover installation, first startup, free and Pro features, provider accounts and Application Programming Interface (API) keys, Supabase setup, and troubleshooting.
- Backup and recovery instructionsStep-by-step guidance covers manual backups, scheduled backups, checking backup files, restoring history, and moving to another Mac.
No weather station? You can still use Weather Wizard.
You don’t need to own a weather station. Use a supported nearby station for local readings, subject to that provider’s access requirements. Free has no time limit. Free keeps the built-in nearby-station and local-weather feed. Adding your own additional provider accounts or API keys—including OpenWeather—and custom radar or forecast sites requires Pro, even if you don’t own a station. Provider accounts, API keys, and separate service fees may still be required.
The one-time 30-day Pro trial is for eligible station owners. Nearby/public-station users can continue with Free or purchase Pro.

Weather Wizard for Intel
Requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Give a compatible older Mac a new role as a weather station display, even as it retires from everyday use.

The Intel edition is the final planned Intel revision and requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Apple’s final major Intel macOS release is macOS 26 Tahoe; this does not mean all security support has already ended. Read Apple’s announcement.
