Smart Telescope Planner · 23.0 (1)
Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Windows
Mac is Astronomy Observation Planner. iPhone and iPad are BigSky Planner. Windows is Smart Telescope Planner. Each is a free download with the real 20-day trial.
- The plan fills the telescope windowBuild Plan sizes each selected target inside the time that target can be seen, and reorders the targets when that covers more of the telescope’s Initialize-to-Stop window. A time you typed or dragged stays as you set it.
- Filter change is markedWhen some targets need the telescope’s filter and some do not, the change stays in the plan. On the Mac, the Current Plan timeline draws that interval as a red block labeled Filter change and the telescope’s change time. On iPhone, iPad, and Windows, the plan list shows that interval as a row with the same label and the telescope’s change time. Vespera II with Dual Band is 20 minutes. Origin with the Nebula filter is 10 minutes.
- Hemisphere follows the siteUntil you choose a catalog, latitude at or above 0°, including the equator, uses the Northern catalog. Latitude below 0° uses the Southern catalog.
- Plans folderPlans are saved in the folder you choose, and that folder is the one the planner opens next time.
- Reopen a finished planWhen a saved plan’s date has passed, the planner asks whether to reopen it on the next date. Yes moves it forward. No leaves it on the original date.

Shots still missing
- Quick RefChecked again on the reconnected iPhone. Planner still shows Load, Fill Gaps, Add Targets, Save, Print, and the target list. Help mentions creating a Quick Ref from Planner, and that sentence is not a button. The Quick Ref screen was not captured.
- Windows22.0.105.0 is not installed on N5114B-W, so there is no plan-list frame.
